The Crisis in Cancer Research

Dr. H. Richard Alexander, an internationally renowed surgical oncologist at the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center, puts a human face on the challenges facing cancer research institutions today. He gives some historical context to our existing biomedical research infrastructure and lays out what we need to do to ensure that the next discovery in the fight against cancer does not go unfunded. This presentation took place as part of the International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma 2008. Related Links: Dr. H.
